La Jolla Center for Holistic Dentistry was founded by Dr. Fen-Hui Chen in 1999.

Dr. Chen’s grandfather was a very well-known Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor in Taiwan. Yet because of the dominating allopathic healthcare educational system, Dr. Chen was educated and trained to practice allopathically and had been oblivious of their own family’s TCM heritage.

Since her son’s illness in 1999, she has studied and researched integrated medicine in various modalities for the sake of her own family. She then began to incorporate Whole Body Dentistry into her daily dental practice.

She has more than 25 years combined experience of traditional and holistic dental practice. She founded La Jolla Center for Holistic Dentistry in 2000.

Since then, Dr. Chen has become a very qualified and respected Oral Physician. Dr. Chen is first and foremost, a gentle, caring dentist who uses the most advanced, painless techniques available. She practices Whole Body Dentistry and she places great emphasis on getting to know her patients. Dr. Chen listens carefully to her patients’ concerns and always takes the time to explain in detail what procedures will be best for their needs.

Dr. Chen is deeply concerned with giving her patients the highest level of comfort and quality care.

She graduated from the prestigious University of Southern California, school of Dentistry and had practiced in San Francisco and Ohio. before moving to California.

Dr. Chen has practiced in La Jolla since 1994 where she has constantly refined her professional skills and knowledge as essential for providing her patients with the best care possible.

She usually accumulates close to 100 CE credits annually and has completed many programs of advanced professional education and is a member of:

She currently serves on the board of directors of Holistic Dental Association. She is also a strong advocate of alternative mental healthcare are active in that community.

She and her family live in University City.
